Foxes, frogs, puffins and fox gloves

June 30, 2010

The weather has been beautiful hasn’t it? I love it when it’s warm and sunny, and when it’s light when I get up, and light when I go to bed. We’ve been for a few walks in the evening lately, and it’s still been hot, even at about 8pm!

The Shadows

Good evening sunshine!

Sky of blue, tree of green!

Last week a frog visited the back door step. He (or she, I couldn’t tell) stayed around 15 minutes and let me take some close ups.  A very photogenic frog don’t you think?

Here is a pink foxglove, which is growing really tall outside our front door…I don’t know where it’s come from, it’s just appeared suddenly amongst the weeds, I’ve never seen it there before. I see next door have got a whole load of them, but we’ve just got the one.

Talking of foxes, the other night I made my 2nd ever treasury on Etsy, and it has a fox theme. I know not everybody is keen on foxes, but there’s something about them that I really like.

If you want to view the products in more detail, you can view the actual treasury here.

And finally, here is a really nice lino cut puffin card. I bought this from the Millennium Gallery in Sheffield, for my Dad, for Father’s Day.  The art work is by Robert Gillmor, who is a founding member of the Society of Wildlife Artists.

    HIya!
Oh that place where you’ve gone for a walk looks lovely! So quiet-looking but not the slightest bit spooky.

You are so lucky to have had a frog just turn up on your doorstep! Lucky you saw him/her there, he/she might have been squidged!! You’ve got a lovely clear picture of him/her, fantastic!

I LOVE puffins!! That’s a linocut?? Amazing work! I think a puffin brooch may be forthcoming very soon… ;-)
